SOUTHERN SOUL

Southern Soul are Great Southern W.A.'s very own 12-14 piece Soul music tribute band. Since their launch in the 2020 the band have wowed audiences with their high energy show, at sold out and capacity shows. Southern Soul now has three tribute shows available: “The Story of Soul”, “The Commitments” and “The Blues Brothers meet the Soul Sisters”. Please read on for more information about each show.

THE STORY OF SOUL

Southern Soul present an all new show this November: "The Story of Soul"!

The team who brought you "The Commitments Tribute" and "Blues Brothers meet the Soul Sisters" have done it again! The show features music from Louis Jordan, Big Mama Thornton, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, The Supremes, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, Booker T & the MGs, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Ben E. King, Sam & Dave, James Brown, Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones and more!

Our “Story of Soul” takes the listener through the evolutionary development of Soul music; from early Rhythm & Blues, through Motown to Southern Soul, peppered with a little funk and finishing with some modern Soul Revival tunes. Prepare to enjoy iconic songs, and to dance!

BLUES BROTHERS MEET THE SOUL SISTERS

Check out the new show from Great Southern W.A.'s very own 14-piece soul band, Southern Soul - 'The Blues Brothers meet the Soul Sisters' - freshly launched at two sold out shows in October 2021!

In our musical parallel universe The Blues Brothers and The Soul Sisters arrive at the same venue in Australia to play a show.  The singers have been double booked for the same show. After some initial confusion, the acts decide to work together creatively to put on an awesome show!

For the new show, the Southern Soul team are joined by Geoff 'The Rev' Waldeck - vocals, Bob Lipinski - blues harmonica, Adam Cook - piano/keyboard, and Mardae Selepak on bass guitar.
